Traineeships in Brussels

Brussels is the heart of the European Union, so, as such, all major European institutions are there located: the European Commission, the European Parliament, the Council of Europe, the Social and Economic Committee and the Committee of Regions, just to name a few. What's in common between all these institutions is that they not only have the power to influence the lives of millions of European citizens, but also that they allow you to become a part of such influence and have the experience of working there as a trainee for a short period of time. In the websites of all of these institutions you will find all necessary information about the traineeships: start dates, duration and requirements of the application. Here's a selection of some paid traineeships in European institutions that take place in Brussels (there are other EU institutions and agencies that offer paid traineeships, but not located in Brussels):

As for me, I was a trainee in the European Commission for the Spring stage group of 2013 and was afterwards a trainee in the cabinet of a MEP. For more information on how to apply for the EC traineeship in particular and some insider tips on how to deal with the application phase and selection process, please visit the lobbying topic of this website.
